June Cotner’s Call

June Cotner is looking for submissions for several poetry anthologies.

Earth Blessings has a deadline that is a bit tight now (April 30), but there are others coming up too:
Parents’ Blessings
Birthday Blessings
365 Blessings
Everyday Inspirations
Family Traditions
Girls’ Night Out
What is Love? (seeking submissions from kids)
All of these have open submission dates.
The poetry sought here is pretty much inspirational poems, fitting into the various themes listed. You can visit the link for more details on what Cotner is looking for with each volume.
The pay per poem is not bad, so this is a market you might like to check out, even if it is not the sort of place you most often submit.
Remember to read the guidelines carefully!

Of a Certain Age: Voices of Experience is an upcoming anthology for work by writers over 50 years of age. There’s currently a call for manuscripts open for the anthology. They are seeking fiction, poetry, and creative nonfiction from writers of “a certain age” (50+).”

The deadline is June 15, 2008. The word limit is a maximum 10,000 words for articles and fiction, or 5 poems. Include a cover letter with bio and SASE in your submission. To submit or for more information, contact
Turtle House Ink
235 Black Oaks Ln.

Good luck with your submission!

An Anthology of Poetry about Families

Here’s what they say they are looking for:

“Poetry, short story, memoir, and artwork for anthology on blended, cross-cultural, or cross-racial families. Well-crafted, soul-searching—nothing PC.”

(I’m pretty sure “PC” there means “politically correct,” and not “poetically challenged.”)

The deadline is March 2008, so you’ve got a little time to get it all together. You can find more information at this website.
